Our Career Coaches

emma pearson profile
Emma Pearson

Career Coach

Emma Pearson uses a listening ear in her student work as a Career Coach paired with an understanding that life's highways can be full of curves. Emma's background is in social work and youth academic coaching.  She says of her reasons for serving students: “I’ve had personal struggles in my educational journey, so I have a personal connection to my role at Project Leadership, and I’d like to provide students with an outlet where they can express their worries or struggles freely. I’ve told students that ‘mystery television’ shows are fun, but ‘mystery life’ is sometimes a different story. My goal is to take the mystery out of a student’s next step and make the transition to post-high school as smooth as possible.”

lynn nguyen profile
Lynn Nguyen

Career Coach

Lynn Nguyen approaches her role as a Career Coach with an abundance of positivity and an all-in attitude. With a background in human development and family studies, Lynn excels at working side by side with students to navigate them through roadblocks and explore future careers. Lynn says of her reasons for serving students: “I am a first-generation American, so I had a lot of new experiences that my parents did not have and therefore didn’t have the knowledge to guide me through. I relied on my older sisters’ experiences and social and academic support to inform my decisions. These things influence my role in that I use a whole-person approach when coaching students and try to understand all the factors and motivations that play into their post-high school decision-making. I use this as a starting point to understand which resources I can provide and what approach I can use to be the best coach for this individual student.”
